Max Ehmer

Born in Germany and raised in England from the age of three, I have built my career on commitment, resilience and professionalism. At 17, I achieved my childhood dream of becoming a professional footballer, enjoying a 16-year career across the English Football League with clubs including Queens Park Rangers (QPR), Preston North End, Gillingham and others. My time at Gillingham FC was particularly special, where I became the club’s sixth-highest appearance maker of all time. 

As my football career came to an end, I transitioned into another long-held ambition by joining HYFi in 2026. The move allowed me to apply the same values that defined my sporting career – discipline, teamwork, trust and putting people first – in helping others achieve their goals.

My aim is to provide honest advice, build lasting relationships and help clients protect what matters most for the long term. I believe securing the right mortgage is only part of the journey; ensuring individuals and families are protected against life’s unexpected challenges is equally important.

Whether on the football pitch or in financial services, my approach has always remained the same: work hard, build trust, and make a positive difference to the people around me.
